How MicroSpaceHeatWorks...

How MicroSpaceHeat Works
Little Bits of Heat...Here & There...Add up.

A large, cold room with no one in it is cold. As a few people move into the room it is a little more bearable, and warmer. A room full of people is warmest and maybe even stifling hot. That in a nutshell is how the concept of microspaceheat works.

Applied to the contents in a shelter, be it home/apartment/condo, etc., and whether passive or active heat...count the lights in a room...incandescent or compact flourescent light bulbs, ...LEDs do not give off heat, so do not count them..., add small heaters, especially small panel heaters such as Toasty Toes, with low wattage (as in 60-90 watts), or even cooking as in crock pots...to add up your already in place microspaceheat. These active heat products we all know work to increase warmer temperatures, even if in only little bits.

In the window department think of layered window coverings or treatments as Roman Shades with insulated draperies...or our own Solar Cafe Window Warmers made out of pipe insulation (in this application we call them solar pipes), used with Solar Cafe Window Covers made out of radiant barrier, especially the bubble wrap kind as in Reflectix, and either painted black on one side or with black plastic attached to one side. These passive heat products also work well to make us warmer, even if in only little bits here and there.

Making MicroSpaceHeat- which is low tech, low cost, efficient and effective, to increase warmth in the cold of winter is the purpose of this blog.
